Why use Alarm Clock

Time or minutes from now

Set 06:30 for tomorrow morning, or "wake me up in 30 minutes" with one tap.

Snooze and label

Snooze for five minutes, and see the label you set so you know what the alarm is for.

Rings in the background

The alarm sound is scheduled when you set it, so it plays on time while you use other tabs.

Big clock

A large clock with seconds, full screen if you like, and the time left until the alarm.

About this tool

An online alarm clock is handy when you are at your computer: a reminder to leave for a meeting, to take a break, to pray on time or to take something out of the oven. Set a time of day, and if that time has already passed today the alarm is set for tomorrow. Or set it for a number of minutes from now, the way you would ask a phone to wake you in half an hour.

The alarm plays in your browser, so the tab must stay open and the computer awake: a laptop that goes to sleep cannot ring. On a phone, keep the screen on and the browser in front, or use the phone’s built-in alarm for waking up in the morning, which works even when the phone is locked.

Frequently asked questions

Will the alarm ring if my laptop goes to sleep?

No. A sleeping computer stops the browser. Keep it plugged in and awake; "Keep the screen on until it rings" helps where the browser allows it.

Can I use it to wake up in the morning?

Only if the device stays awake with the tab open. For mornings, a phone’s built-in alarm is more reliable because it rings even when the phone is locked.

Can I set more than one alarm?

One at a time. Setting a new alarm replaces the old one.

How does snooze work?

Snooze 5 min stops the sound and sets the alarm again for five minutes from now.

Does the alarm clock work offline?

Yes. Once the page has loaded, the alarm keeps working without a connection, as long as the tab stays open and the device has sound on.
