This policy is for the ToolboxHere app for iPhone and iPad from the App Store (bundle ID com.
The short version
The app collects no data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not send your work to any AI service. Everything you open or make in the app is processed on your iPhone or iPad. We run no server for the app, so your documents, photos, recordings and text never reach us. The app's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
What we do not collect
We collect no personal data through the app: no name, email address, contacts, location, files, usage statistics, crash reports or advertising identifiers. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software and never tracks you across other companies' apps or websites.
Where your work is processed
Scanning, reading text, translating, transcribing, calculating, cutting out photos and every other tool run on your device, with Apple's on-device features and our own models running on the device. Nothing you open in the app is uploaded to us or to anyone else. Apple's Private Cloud Compute is not used.
Optional AI model downloads
Some tools need an AI model that is not inside the app when you install it. Before downloading one, the app tells you its size and asks you. The models are hosted by Apple and downloaded from Apple's servers as part of the App Store's own download system, so the download goes between your device and Apple, not to us. A model is data that runs on your device; it sends nothing back. The system may also download speech and translation languages it needs. Apple's privacy policy applies to these downloads.
Where your files live
Files the app makes are saved in the app's own folder on your device (shown in the Files app under ToolboxHere), and in your Photos library only when you choose to save them there. Delete a file, or delete the app, and it is gone from your device. We keep no copy, because we never had one.
Your iCloud (optional)
Your iCloud account belongs to you and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot read it.
- Preferences. Your appearance choices (theme, accent, pinned tools, the order of the home sections) are kept in your iCloud key-value storage so that your iPhone and iPad match. To stop this, turn off ToolboxHere under Settings › your name › iCloud.
- Expiry Reminders (Pro, only if you turn sync on). Your documents are encrypted on your device before anything is stored in your private iCloud database, and the key for each record is kept in a field that Apple encrypts end to end with keys from your iCloud Keychain. Apple cannot read them, and neither can we. Deleting a document in the app deletes its iCloud record.
Purchases
ToolboxHere Pro is bought through Apple's App Store with in-app purchase (StoreKit), in one of two ways: a yearly subscription that starts with a 7-day free trial and renews each year until you cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or "Pro for good", paid once. Apple handles the payment. We never see your payment details, name, card or address; the app only learns, on your device, that Pro is active. Family Sharing, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. "Restore Purchases" asks Apple to check your purchase and sends nothing of yours to us.
Permissions the app may ask for
Each permission is asked for inside the tool that needs it, and each tool offers another way if you say no:
- Camera: scanning pages, taking passport, visa and exam photos, and reading QR codes. You can choose photos or files instead.
- Photos: saving the photos you make; reading your newest photo or screenshot only for the widgets that offer it. Otherwise the app uses the photo picker and never reads your library.
- Microphone and speech recognition: turning voice notes into text on the device. Nothing is uploaded. You can open a recording from Files instead.
- Location (while using the app): prayer times and the Qibla, worked out on the device, and putting your place in a QR code when you ask. You can choose a city or type the coordinates instead. The place you choose is stored only on the device.
- Face ID: locking Expiry Reminders. The system does the check; the app never sees your face data.
- Calendar and Reminders (add only): adding the dates and to-dos you tap. The app cannot read what is already there.
- Alarms: ringing Clock & Timers' alarms and timers through silent mode and Focus. Without it they ring as notifications, which silent mode mutes.
- Wi-Fi: joining a network from a scanned QR code, only when you tap Join network; iOS asks first and names the network. The app never reads which network you are on.
- Notifications: local notifications scheduled on the device (expiry reminders, prayer alerts, and timers and alarms when Alarms is off). There is no push server.
When the app uses the internet
- Apple: the App Store and in-app purchase, iCloud as above, and the model and language downloads above.
- Currency & Gold: this tool downloads whole public rate tables (never your amounts or questions) from api.
frankfurter. dev, the free currency-api (cdn. jsdelivr. net and currency-api.pages.dev) and gold-api.com. Like any web request, those servers see your device's internet address; the app sends them nothing else. The last table is kept on the device so the tool works offline. - Links to toolboxhere.

Nothing else: no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking.
Children
The app is rated 4+. It has no accounts and never collects data from anyone, so it collects no data from children.
How long data is kept
We hold nothing, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. Your files stay on your device, and in your iCloud only if you turned sync on, until you delete them. Deleting the app removes its files from the device; its iCloud data is removed in Settings › your name › iCloud.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and similar laws you may ask what personal data we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. For the app, the answer is none, because none reaches us. The only data we ever hold is what you send us yourself by email: we keep it to answer you, read it in Qatar, and delete it when the matter is closed. If you have a question, write to contact@

Changes
