About this tool

A world clock shows the current time in the cities you care about, side by side. A meeting planner goes one step further: it lines up the hours of one day across all of them, so you can find the time in different countries that falls inside everyone’s working day. When no hour is inside every working day, as with Doha, Karachi, London and New York, the tip suggests the kindest hours.

Time zones are not only a number of hours: summer time moves clocks in Europe and North America on different dates, some places are 30 or 45 minutes off the hour, like India and Nepal, and weekends differ. Qatar and Saudi Arabia rest on Friday and Saturday, the UAE on Saturday and Sunday, and Pakistan on Sunday. This planner uses the time zone rules built into your browser, so it is right for any date you pick.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find a good meeting time across time zones?

Add every city, pick the day, and look for a column that is green in every row. If there is none, the tip names the kindest hours, when most cities are at work and none is asleep.

Does it handle summer time?

Yes. The times follow each place’s own summer time rules for the date you pick, including the weeks when Europe and North America have changed clocks but the other has not.

Can I add any city?

You can add any time zone your browser knows, over 400, by typing the city or country. Common cities in the Gulf, South Asia, Europe and the Americas come first.

Are my cities saved?

Yes, in this browser, so the world clock opens with your cities next time. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What does Add to calendar do?

It downloads a small .ics file for the chosen time and length. Open it and your calendar app adds the meeting at the right time in every time zone.

Can I see the current time around the world?

Yes. Add cities from around the world and this world clock online shows the current time in each, side by side, with summer time handled.
