How to use Random Number Generator

  1. Tap a quick range such as 1–100, or type your own From and To numbers.
  2. Set how many numbers you want, from 1 to 1,000.
  3. Leave “No repeats” on so no number comes up twice; switch on “Sort them” to list them in order.
  4. Press Generate (or Enter). Copy the numbers, or generate again.

Why use Random Number Generator

Truly even

Every number in the range is equally likely, drawn from your browser’s cryptographic random numbers with no rounding bias.

No repeats

Draw raffle tickets, seat numbers or a random sample without the same number twice.

Any range

From 1–6 up to ranges in the trillions, with negative numbers too.

Copy the list

Copy several numbers at once as a comma-separated list.

About this tool

A random number generator (RNG) picks numbers nobody can predict: a raffle winner from the ticket numbers, a random question from a numbered list, a seat or a turn order, or a random sample for a survey. Set the lowest and highest number and how many you need. With “No repeats” on, each number can come up only once, like tickets drawn from a hat; with it off, the number picker may repeat, like rolling dice.

The numbers come from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, the same source used for encryption. Draws that would favour one number over another are thrown away and drawn again (rejection sampling), so every number from From to To has exactly the same chance. Nothing you generate is sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick a random number between 1 and 100?

Tap 1–100 (or type 1 and 100), leave How many at 1 and press Generate. Every number from 1 to 100 has the same 1% chance.

Can I get several numbers without repeats?

Yes. Set How many and leave “No repeats” on: up to 1,000 different numbers, like tickets drawn from a hat. Switch on “Sort them” to list them in order.

Is it truly random?

The numbers come from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, which is built to be unpredictable, and every number in the range is equally likely.

Can I use negative numbers?

Yes. From and To can be any whole numbers, for example −50 to 50.

Can I use it for a raffle or giveaway?

Yes: number the entries, set the range to match and draw as many winners as you need with no repeats. To draw names instead of numbers, spin the wheel.

How do I pick a random number between 1 and 10?

Set the minimum to 1 and the maximum to 10, then press Generate. Change the range for 1 to 100 or any other numbers.
