About this tool
A working days calculator counts the business days between two dates: for leave requests, notice periods, project schedules, court and visa deadlines, salary for a part month, and delivery promises quoted in business days. Everything turns on which days are the weekend, and that differs by country: Saturday and Sunday in Pakistan, India, the UK and the US, Friday and Saturday across the Gulf, and Friday alone in some workplaces. This calculator lets you choose.
Public holidays are the other variable, and no list fits every employer, so you paste your own, one date per line; Eid holidays are announced a day or two ahead in most countries, so add them when they are known. The result shows the working days together with the weekend days and holidays it left out, and the total, so the count can be checked against a calendar.

Which weekend should I pick?
Saturday and Sunday for Pakistan, India, the UK, the US and most of the world; Friday and Saturday for Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman; Friday only for workplaces with a six-day week.
Are both dates counted?
Yes by default, the way leave and pay periods work: Monday to Friday is 5 working days. Untick "count the end day too" to count from one date up to the other.
How do I add Eid or other holidays?
Paste them into the holidays box, one date per line (any common format). A holiday that falls on a weekend does not reduce the count twice.
Can I find the working days in a month?
Yes. Set the first and last day of the month: 22 in most months with a Saturday–Sunday weekend, 21 or 23 depending on where the weekends fall.
How many working days are in a year?
With a Saturday and Sunday weekend there are usually 260 or 261 weekdays in a year, before public holidays. With a Friday and Saturday weekend the count is about the same. Add your holidays to get the real figure.
