How to use Arabic Numbers to English

About this tool

Arabic is often written with Arabic-Indic digits (١٢٣), and Urdu and Persian with their own forms (۱۲۳), while most websites, forms and spreadsheets expect Western digits (123). Phone numbers, ID and IBAN numbers or amounts copied from an Arabic document then fail checks or cannot be added up. Paste the text here and every digit is converted, with the Arabic decimal and thousands separators turned into a point and a comma, while the words stay untouched. It converts Urdu numbers to English the same way.

It works the other way too: turn English numbers to Arabic digits for an Arabic letter or sign, or into Urdu digits. The Western digits are themselves called Arabic numerals in English, because Europe learned them from Arabic mathematicians; the digits used in Arabic writing today are called Arabic-Indic or Eastern Arabic numerals, and in the Gulf often Hindi numbers.
