How to use HEIC to PDF

  1. Add your HEIC photos from Files, Photos or a folder. JPG, PNG and WebP pictures can go in with them.
  2. Drag the photos into the order the pages should follow.
  3. Keep "Fit image" for pages the size of each photo, or pick A4 or Letter for printing.
  4. Click "Create PDF" and save photos.pdf to your phone or computer.

Why use HEIC to PDF

No JPG step
HEIC photos go straight into the PDF, so there is no folder of converted copies to tidy up afterwards.
Pages the size of the photo
Fit image is already chosen, so a 4:3 iPhone photo gets a 4:3 page instead of white bands on A4.
Upright every time
The turn an iPhone stores with a photo is applied, so a photo taken upright is an upright page.
Photos stay on your device
The decoding happens in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.

About this tool

An iPhone saves photos as HEIC to keep them small, but upload forms, email recipients and Windows computers often want one PDF instead. Here the HEIC photos go into the PDF directly, without converting each one to JPG and combining the copies afterwards. Add the photos, set their order and save one file: the two pages of a passport, a contract photographed page by page, or the receipts for a claim.

Safari on an iPhone, iPad or Mac opens HEIC by itself, so nothing extra is downloaded there. Chrome, Edge and Firefox cannot, so the page loads libheif, an open-source HEIC decoder, the first time you add a HEIC photo; your browser keeps it for the next visit. Each photo is saved inside the PDF as a high-quality JPG. To keep the PDF under an upload limit, set a size in KB before you create it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert HEIC to PDF on Windows?

Open this page in Chrome, Edge or Firefox, add the HEIC photos and click "Create PDF". Windows needs no extra codec: the page brings its own HEIC decoder, loaded the first time you use it. On a Mac the same page works in Safari or Chrome.

Can I combine several HEIC photos into one PDF?

Yes: it works as a HEIC to PDF combiner. Add as many as you need, drag them into order, and they merge into one PDF, each photo on its own page.

Why are the pages different sizes?

"Fit image" makes each page the size of its photo, so nothing is cropped or padded. Choose A4 or Letter if every page has to be the same paper size for printing.

Does it work on an iPhone?

Yes. Open the page in Safari, tap the box and pick the photos from Photos or Files: the converter is free and online, with no app to install. When the PDF is ready, tap "Save to Files or share" to keep it.

Is the location of my photos kept in the PDF?

No. Each photo is drawn again into the PDF as a picture, without the camera details and GPS position the HEIC file carried.
