Times in Abu Dhabi use the UAE method: Fajr and Isha when the sun is 18.2° below the horizon and the standard Asr, rounded the way the UAE Awqaf rounds its timetable (sunrise about two and a half minutes earlier; Dhuhr and Maghrib about three and a half minutes later; Asr a minute later), which matched the Awqaf's published times for Abu Dhabi to the minute in September 2026. The times are for Abu Dhabi island and the centre of the city; Mussafah, Khalifa City and Yas are within a minute. Al Ain, 150 km east, is about 5 minutes earlier, and Dubai 3 to 4 minutes earlier.

Over the year, Fajr in Abu Dhabi moves from about 4:04 AM in early June to about 5:48 AM in mid-January, and Maghrib from about 5:36 PM in late November to about 7:18 PM in late June.
