Times in Jeddah use the Umm al-Qura method of Saudi Arabia: Fajr when the sun is 18.5° below the horizon, Isha 90 minutes after Maghrib, which becomes 2 hours during Ramadan, and the standard Asr, when a shadow equals the length of its object. The times are for the centre of Jeddah. Makkah, 66 km to the east, is 1 to 2 minutes earlier, and Riyadh about 30 minutes earlier.
