About this tool
The Saudi tourist eVisa takes a 200 × 200 photo between 5 and 100 KB. The background must be white, with no pattern and no shadows. Show a close-up of your face and the top of your shoulders so your face takes up 70–80% of the photo, with your head square to the camera and both ears and cheeks visible. The photo should be no more than six months old, and only you should be in it.
Head wear is generally not permitted, except for religious reasons, and then your face must be visible from the tip of the chin to the forehead. Work, family and business visas through Enjaz or an embassy can have different photo rules, so check the service you apply through.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a Saudi visa photo?
For the eVisa, 200 × 200 pixels and 5–100 KB, on a white background.
Can I wear a headscarf in my Saudi visa photo?
Yes, for religious reasons, as long as your face is visible from the chin to the forehead.
Why is the background important?
The eVisa rules ask for a white background with no pattern and no shadows; photos against coloured or busy walls are often rejected.
Does this work for Umrah?
Umrah on a tourist eVisa uses the same eVisa photo. Other visa types may have different rules.
How do I take a Saudi visa photo with my phone?
Stand in front of a plain white wall with light falling evenly on your face, look straight at the camera and keep a neutral expression. Crop it here to 200 × 200 pixels, which also brings the file under 100 KB.
Is this Saudi visa photo tool free online?
Yes. It is a free online Saudi visa photo tool and editor, with no app and no upload: it crops and resizes your photo to the official size and specifications. It is not an official checker, so compare the result with the rules and requirements on the official website before you submit it.
