Why use SSC Signature Size

SSC: 6.0 × 2.0 cm, 10–20 KB

The shape and size range from the 2026 SSC notices.

RRB: 30–49 KB

At least 140 × 60 pixels and inside RRB's unusual 30–49 KB range.

Clean scan

The paper becomes pure white and the ink darker, so the signature is not blurred or faint.

No photo needed

Both commissions take your photo live, so only the signature is uploaded.

About this tool

The 2026 SSC notices (CGL, CHSL and Constable GD) ask for a scanned signature in JPEG, 10–20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm high. SSC rejects blurred or miniature signatures, so the signature should fill the image. There is no photo upload: SSC captures your photo live while you apply, and you should not photograph an existing picture.

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) notices ask for a JPEG signature of 30–49 KB, at least 140 × 60 pixels, scanned at 100 DPI or more, signed in black ink on white paper in running hand, not in block or capital letters. RRB also takes a live photo, so wear the same look throughout the recruitment and non-white clothes for the photo.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SSC signature size?

About 6.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm high, a JPEG between 10 and 20 KB.

Do I upload a photo for SSC?

No. The 2026 notices capture your photo live during the application.

What is the RRB signature size?

A JPEG between 30 and 49 KB, at least 140 × 60 pixels, signed in black ink on white paper.

Why was my signature rejected?

SSC rejects blurred or very small signatures, and RRB rejects signatures in capital letters or a thumb impression in place of a signature.

How do I sign for the SSC form?

Sign on plain white paper with a black ink pen, in running handwriting, not in capital letters. Take a straight photo in good light, then crop it here to 6.0 × 2.0 cm and 10–20 KB.

Can it reduce my SSC signature to 20kb?

Yes. This converter and reducer resizes the signature to 6 × 2 cm and compresses it to between 10 and 20 KB (20kb at most), the size the SSC form accepts.
