80% face with ears

The photo is framed so your face fills about 80% with both ears visible.

Clean signatures

A photographed signature becomes dark ink on pure white paper.

White background

For these forms the tool can make a light wall behind you pure white.

About this tool

The NTA's 2026 information bulletins for NEET (UG), JEE (Main) and CUET ask for a recent passport-size photograph as a JPG or JPEG between 10 and 200 KB, against a white background, with about 80% of the photo your face, without a mask and with both ears visible. NEET accepts colour or black and white; JEE Main asks for colour. The bulletins set no pixel size, so the tool makes the 3.5 × 4.5 cm shape at 413 × 531 pixels.

The signature is a separate upload: 10–100 KB for NEET and JEE Main, and 10–50 KB for CUET. Each form also takes a live photo from your webcam or phone while you fill it in, so keep your appearance the same. The bulletins are reissued every year, so check the current one before you apply.

Frequently asked questions

What is the NEET photo size?

A JPG or JPEG between 10 and 200 KB, with a white background and about 80% of the photo your face, ears visible, no mask.

What is the NEET signature size?

A JPG or JPEG between 10 and 100 KB. The same range applies to JEE Main; CUET allows 10–50 KB.

Do I need to write my name and date on the NEET photo?

No. The 2026 bulletin does not ask for a name or date on the photo.

Why does the form also take a live photo?

The NTA captures a live photo while you apply and matches it with your Aadhaar photo, so keep your appearance the same.

Can I use the same photo for JEE Main and CUET?

Yes. NEET, JEE Main and CUET are all run by the NTA and use the same photo rules, so one photo resized here suits all three forms. Keep the printed copy for the admit card and exam day.
