About this tool
Visitors to Qatar apply for entry through the Hayya platform, which asks for a personal photo in JPEG format, under 2 MB, at least 720 pixels, in the proportions of a 30 mm wide by 40 mm high photo. Your face must take up 70–80% of the photo, centred and not tilted, against a plain white or light grey background, and the photo must be less than 12 months old.
Keep a neutral expression with your eyes open and mouth closed, and no hair over your eyes. Prescription glasses are fine if your eyes are clearly visible; sunglasses and tinted glasses are not. Qatar ID and residence permit photos follow different rules, so this page is for Hayya visas only.

What background does Hayya want?
Plain white or light grey.
Can I smile in my Hayya photo?
No. The guideline asks for a neutral expression: no squinting, frowning or smiling.
Can I use this for my Qatar ID (QID)?

How do I take a Hayya photo at home?
Stand in front of a plain white or light wall, face a window for even light and look straight at the camera. Crop it here so your face fills the frame the way Hayya asks, then upload the file.
Is this Qatar visa photo tool free online?
Yes. It is a free online Qatar visa photo tool and editor, with no app and no upload: it crops and resizes your photo to the official size and specifications. It is not an official checker, so compare the result with the rules and requirements on the official website before you submit it.
